YOUR SERVICE, YOUR STORY

Therapy for Those Who've Served and Those Who Love Them

Serving in the military demands an extraordinary level of strength, sacrifice, and resilience. But carrying the weight of that service, long after you’ve come home, is something no one should have to do alone.

Whether you’re a veteran navigating life after deployment, an active-duty service member managing the pressures of military life, or a family member trying to support someone you love, our therapists are here to walk alongside you. We understand that the transition from military to civilian life can be disorienting, that some experiences don’t have easy words, and that asking for help takes a different kind of courage, one we deeply respect.

Military & Veteran Mental Health

You're probably feeling

Disconnected From Civilian Life

The world you came back to feels unfamiliar, and the people around you don't quite understand what you've been through. You're here, but part of you is still somewhere else.

On Guard, Even When You're Safe

Hypervigilance doesn't switch off the moment you're home. Loud sounds, crowded spaces, and unpredictable situations can trigger a level of alertness.

You Have to Keep It Together

The culture of toughness that kept you going in service can make it hard to admit you're struggling.

How Military & Veteran Therapy Can Help

No two service members carry the same experience. Whether you served in combat or support roles, were deployed once or multiple times, or left the military years ago or just recently, the impact on your mental health is real and valid.

Our therapists are trained in evidence-based approaches specifically shown to help veterans and service members, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and trauma-informed care. We recognize the unique culture of the military and approach every session with respect for what you’ve been through and who you are.

We work with veterans and service members on:

What to Expect in Military & Veteran Therapy

The first step is often the hardest, and we want to make it as straightforward as possible. When you reach out to us, there’s no pressure to share everything at once. Your first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brought you here, and beginning to figure out what would help most.

Sessions are 50 minutes and available both in-person at our New York and Massachusetts locations, as well as via telehealth,  so you can access care in whatever way feels safest and most convenient. We’ll work around your schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends where possible.

Therapy moves at your pace. You won’t be asked to dive into painful memories before you’re ready, and there’s no rigid script or one-size-fits-all plan. Over time, you and your therapist will work toward a clearer sense of who you are outside of your service, how to manage the symptoms that are disrupting your daily life, and how to build the kind of life you want, and deserve.
